About the class

Introduction to Woodworking (Women + Non-Binary)

Intro to Woodworking (Women + Non-binary) is a beginner course for students with little to no woodworking experience to learn in a safe, exciting, and welcoming environment. This class will safely introduce students to fundamental machines commonly used in woodworking. Students will construct a wall hung cabinet over the course of two days while learning the milling process of rough sawn and dimensional lumber, joinery techniques, furniture making best practices and much, much more.

Materials and material costs are included in this class and the lumber will be ready and waiting for each student. Students will walk away with their very own cabinet ready to display in their own home.

Please Note: This class is not in lieu of Fundamentals of Woodworking (7 weeks). Fundamentals of Woodworking would be the next recommended course.
